  1. Desert dreams.
Although you'll be told you can't by touts in Marrakech and Fes, you CAN get here by public transport and work out a night in the desert locally. Double joy of this is you'll have flexibility, be able to choose a nice hotel to begin or end your journey and give local people much-needed tourist $$.
Being this close to the Sahara is just magical. The camels are a bit daunting initially but you'll soon be lulled into the slow rhythm of it all. Unless you've paid big bucks for a fancy-camp it's pretty basic. Ladies, especially single ones, Align yourself with others to create a bigger group as there predatory men out here. It IS safe though, just take usual precautions and help yourself by covering up. If you love stars download a free app to help map the night sky. Enjoy, it's magical ✨
Stay in town long enough to enjoy other local pleasures too, 4wd, dinar dancers, going to a Bedouin camp

  2. Sahara is magical! We spent a night in a camp in Sahara after riding-camel for an hour. Visiting Sahara desert and spending a night under the starry sky should be on every traveler's bucket list.
